The primary purpose of Geegeez.co.uk is to offer a real alternative to the dated racecard format of more established (but less motivated) sites like Racing Post, and to offer genuinely independent editorial content in the UK horse racing space.
Matt’s vision is to make it the best free horse racing resource available outside of the major media houses. He is committed to independent editorial, which enables his growing team of writers – including household names like Tony Stafford - to express themselves in a completely unbiased fashion, and share insights with readers that for other publishers might consider a conflict of interest.
With racecards, fast results, detailed statistics and reports, as well as the most popular horse racing blog in Britain, Geegeez.co.uk has a wide variety of commentary and tips: something for everyone ‘in to’ their racing.
Matt himself is a member of the recently formed Horseracing Bettors' Forum, whose role it is to inform BHA on betting matters; and he has been asked to consult on various BHA papers, the most recent of which were on NH Racing, and Race Planning.
Matt is a local lad, being originally from Bournemouth, and is a big fan of the Cherries (living the dream this season!). He has been ‘exiled’ in London since 1992.
As Matt says, he and his team are keen to be involved with Anthony Honeyball Racing “because we share similar philosophies and a belief that hard work can allow the smaller players to mix it on the bigger stages.”
Matt and geegeez.co.uk are delighted to be associated with Anthony Honeyball Racing this season, and wish all owners, horses, and fans of the sport the very best of luck.
